Bran Castle, while never Vlad Tepes', the real Dracula's, castle is supposedly the structure Bram Stoker used as inspiration for his Dracula's castle. Despite the loose connection, many Dracula fans, vampire hunters, and tourists flock to Bran Castle to get a taste of the history surrounding Romania's blood-thirsty ruler. Bran Castle is often incorporated into Dracula tours of Romania, but it's also possible to see Bran Castle on your own. Bran Castle in winter is a romantic sight - snow dusts the tower rooftops and barren trees growing at the structure's base shiver in the cold.
